Dr. Jeff Myers
Prior to joining SteadyMed, Dr. Myers was the Global Lead for Cardiovascular Medical Affairs at Gilead Sciences. In that position he was responsible for the pulmonary hypertension, chronic angina, and cystic fibrosis therapeutic areas. Dr. Myers’ career has focused on the care of patients with pulmonary hypertension first as a pediatric cardiac surgeon and basic research scientist through to his current position. Dr. Myers received his MD with distinction from the University of Oklahoma and his PhD with distinction in Cardiovascular Physiology from Georgetown with studies focusing on persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn. Following a surgical residency at Georgetown, Dr. Myers trained in cardiac surgery and pediatric cardiac surgery/transplantation at Duke University and UCLA. His clinical practice focused on congenital cardiac disease where he rose to the position of Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital and faculty at Harvard Medical School.
